Trier: Germany's oldest city

Trier is the oldest city in the country, boasting a rich history dating back to Roman times. It is a charming city with well-preserved Roman ruins, including the Porta Nigra, a massive Roman gate, and the impressive remains of the Roman baths.

Beyond its Roman heritage (and its 8 UNESCO World Heritage Sites), Trier offers a blend of historical and modern attractions. Visitors can explore the Dom St. Peter and wander through the picturesque Hauptmarkt, the city's main square. Trier is also known for its vibrant cultural scene and its excellent wines.
